At Takari Primary School, the Chaplain provides students, parents and staff with one-on-one support whenever it is required and also offers valuable programs to students. The Chaplain works with students, teachers and parents to assist in meeting the needs that appear in their daily lives. This is demonstrated by being available at all times to listen when a child or adult need to talk, providing pastoral care (encouragement and support) and running life skill programs. As well as visiting classrooms and helping out on class excursions and school events, building partnerships with the school community.
Access to the program is through self, parent or teacher referral and the Chaplain is available at the school on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you would like to chat or need some support, please feel free to contact the Chaplain or visit her in her office (located next to the Science room).
